SACRED HEART HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER SCHOOL

Dear Parents and Students,

We at Sacred Heart High School are looking forward to working with your son/daughter from Monday, July 6, 2009 to Friday, July 31, 2009. Class times are as follows:

First Period: 8:30-9:30 am
Second Period: 9:35-10:35 am
Third Period: 10:40-11:40 am

Once scheduling has been completed, specific course times will be posted on our website, www.sacredhearths.net. Please click on the summer school link. If you would like to talk to someone in the main office please call 914-965-3114.

It is important that your son/daughter be here every day to successfully complete the summer session. This will enable them to receive the credit they need to go on to the next level.

Rules and Regulations

Absence: Full attendance is required for the successful completion of summer school. One absence is allowed. A second absence will require a doctor’s note in order to continue the program.

Lateness: It is important to be on time for school and all classes. Two latenesses will be considered one absence.
Behavior: Any behavior considered inappropriate by the Summer School Administration including and not limited to disrespect to faculty and peers may result in expulsion from the Summer School Program with no refund of tuition.

Dress Code: Appropriate school dress is required. For boys, hats and headscarves are not permitted. Oversized pants that are slung low at the hips or that allow underwear to be seen are not permitted. Appropriate shirts and shoes are to be worn; sneakers are allowed. For the girls, short shorts, short skirts, and inappropriate tank tops are not to be worn. We are a Catholic school and require that our students be appropriately dressed to reflect this aspect of our educational system.

SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON SCHOOL PROPERTY. (this includes all of Convent Avenue)

Final summer school grades will be mailed to the parents and the home school at the end of the summer session.
We hope the summer session will be successful for you. We look forward to working with you to make your time with us productive.
